Busy Bees Nursery Alton consists of two pre-schools in Alton, Hampshire run by owners and managers Janet Duddridge and Alison Stickland.

Busy Bees @ Chawton Park

Established for over 24 years, and run by Janet and Alison since 2006, Busy Bees @ Chawton Park is a friendly pre-school providing flexible, high quality care for children from 2 years to reception age.  Our lovely situation in the Whitedown area of Alton, Hampshire makes us ideal for children from all over Alton and it’s surrounding villages.

You can contact us on  01420 549593 during school hours or 01420 549831 at other times to arrange a visit.

Busy Bees @ St Lawrence

Busy Bees @ St Lawrence was previously known as St Lawrence Playgroup and had been established for more than 40 years.  Janet and Alison took over the setting in September 2017 when it was threatened with closure.  The pre-school is situated in the heart of Alton, close to St Lawrence Church and neighbouring St Lawrence Primary School.  It is within walking distance of other local schools and the town centre making it very accessible for walking to and from, although there are various car parks nearby.

You can contact Busy Bees @ St Lawrence on 07561 346521 during school hours or 01420 549831 at other times to arrange a visit.

Our main aim at both settings is to provide a safe and happy place for children to play and learn.  We want children to develop a love of learning during their early years and we take pride in providing them with the skills to learn and develop at their own pace, preparing them for their eventual transition to school.

Both our premises are on one level and we have lots of space for a varying array of activities both inside and out.  Busy Bees @ Chawton Park has a large secure garden, whilst Busy Bees @ St Lawrence has a smaller outside space.  At both settings we make the most of the outdoor space that we have and aim to spend lots of time outside come rain or shine!

Our dedicated teams of trained staff at each setting have years of experience between them and both of the Busy Bees settings are overseen by Janet, who is qualified as an Early Years Teacher.
